2010 Yearly Overview 

Looking at the coming year, 2010 is the beginning of a cycle that is repeating from 1931 on. Transit Jupiter starts out the year in the sign of Aquarius, but then enters the sign of Pisces January 17, 2010 This is a time when folks become more compassionate and emotionally sensitive to those around them. You could find that you expand your imagination as well as your spiritual and philosophical views. The major pitfall is that folks may decide to escape their realities in some manner. This may be through drugs, alcohol or just walking away from it all.

Think of Jupiter as the planet of expansion, if there is too much of something, Jupiter is bound to be involved. Saturn on the other hand is the planet of restrictions or too little. Life in general is a balance of both of these planets working together.

Saturn is squaring Pluto January 31, 2010 EST. This will be a fairly difficult date where you could find that others will want to control and prevent any changes that you try to make. On a more global scale the same can be said where any changes that are necessary will be blocked by others trying to control them. Sometimes this transit brings about some violent incidents, so be sure to take care with your safety. In the end this should be handled by making any necessary changes that are needed to eliminate waste and fluff from your life and business needs.

Transit Jupiter forms a nice sextile with Pluto February 06, 2010 EST. The energy here will be expressed by wishing to use considerable energy to gain some form of freedom in the activities that you do. This is about gaining power in order to accomplish what you and others you represent require. This is about regeneration and you should be able to take advantage of any changes that occur in the world around you for the betterment of others.

Transit Saturn opposes Uranus April 26, 2010 and again in July 26, 2010 EST. There is a need for balance between the two planets where one is trying to restrict and regulate, while the other is into sudden unexpected interruptions. The key here is to not allow either one of these energies to rule, but to find a medium ground in which they both can work together.

Transit Jupiter opposes Saturn May 23, 2010 and August 16, 2010 EST. Again this is a conflict angle that pits too much against too little. In this case Saturn in Libra represents Governments, leaders, structure and those in authority. They may not be able to control the excesses that come to light around this time. They may also vie for recognition of being in partnership with others (Libra), while in reality there is too much hidden corruption and illusion beneath the surface (Pisces). This may come to light in many Governments that have an emphasis of Libra and Pisces in their Countries charts.

Transit Uranus enters the sign of Aries May 27, 2010 EST. This is one of the major transits to be aware of this year. Uranus was in the sign of Aries in 1931 and entered into similar aspects with surrounding planets, between 1931-1934. As I was researching this yearly overview, I noticed similar events unfolding during that time period and the current time frame. At that time we were in the middle of a recession as we are now. I came across this quote in regards to Hoover in the US :

 “ Dec 10, 1931 - He put the deficit for the current year at $2122683685, the greatest in peace-time history, and said that there would be another deficit of $1;416949448 in 1933 unless action was taken by Congress  which would produce additional revenues. The actual deficit for 1931 was $902716845, ..”.

Similar events have occurred now around the globe.

To start the energy of Uranus in Aries is about wanting to seek freedom at any cost. This can cause complete severance with anything that you were familiar with in the past. This is about being blunt and outspoken, where folks will not be as considerate of others. Uranus in this sign will like to make independent fresh starts, especially if they shake up anything that is old and familiar (but boring). This is about shaking up patterns that have been laid down over years and is about sweeping out the old and bringing in the new.

Jupiter enters the sign of Aries June 06, 2010 EST. This will expand folks ideas that their beliefs and ideals are the correct ones. There should be plenty of opportunities to seize so be ready when they come up now. If you don’t see any opportunities on the horizon, you may very well make your own. Go for it!

Transit Jupiter joins with Uranus June 08, 2010 and September 18, 2010 EST. The energy here is all about sudden opportunities that could open up for you now. You may find that you strive for more freedom if you have not had it in the past. This is like the mid life crisis where folks will run from their previous responsibilities thinking that this then will allow them freedom. You may find that you receive a sudden break or promotion, or your eyes will be open to many more opportunities that could come your way.  

Transit Saturn enters the sign of Libra July 21, 2010 EST. With Saturn in this sign there will be rules and regulations that affect relationships, partnerships and dealings with others. Saturn is very strong in this sign. This will be a time of cooperation and willingness for Governments and those in authority to work with others. Goals will be achieved through partnership with others in the next couple of years. Those in positions of authority will require the help and good will of others to move forward now. Any Government or CEO who tries to stand alone will fail in recognizing their full potential for growth.

Transit Jupiter is squaring Pluto July 24, 2010 and August 03, 2010 EST. The energy here is about rebellion against rules that already exist. This is about challenging those in authority and big business. This is not a time to overextend yourself or buy on credit. This will not be a good date for stocks and bonds. As well those who handle large sums of money (banks etc.) may find themselves on the end of a revolt of some type. Some folks may find that they obsess that their point of view is right at all costs……this is very similar to the events that were experienced in 1934 when Jupiter squared Pluto. Be aware of some of the similar energy out there and this time perhaps we can stop the train before it gets going.

You can see there are many of the same players, just different configurations. I feel strongly that knowledge ahead of time and looking at the past can help us to not become complacent and do something this time before it starts. Being aware and using the internet can help us “see” clearly around the globe for similar events which may occur.
